The grah laxmi yojana, initiated by the Karnataka government, is a commendable and impactful scheme aimed at providing financial assistance to female heads of households in the state. Advantages of the Grah laxmi yojana

The Karnataka government has pledged to launch the grah laxmi yojana within a span of less than two months after coming to power. This scheme is designed to provide significant financial assistance of Rs. 2000 per month to the female head of a family, making it an effective step towards women empowerment and poverty alleviation.

The beneficiaries of the scheme can register without any external influence, ensuring transparency and inclusivity. The allocated amount will be disbursed to the eligible recipients between 15th to 20th August, and the registration process will remain open for a period of one year.

With a budget of Rs. 18,000 crores, the scheme is expected to benefit more than 11 million women from over 12.8 million families in the state, making a remarkable impact on their lives.

The grah laxmi yojana falls under the purview of the Women and Child Development Ministry, under the leadership of Minister Lakshmi Hebbalkar.

Eligibility Criteria for Gruha Lakshmi Yojana

According to Minister Lakshmi Hebbalkar, all women who are designated as the head of their families on the Below Poverty Line (BPL) or Above Poverty Line (APL) cards are eligible to avail the benefits of the scheme. To be eligible, the women or their spouses should not fall under the income tax category. Additionally, government employees are not eligible for the scheme. Only one female member per family can avail the benefits of the grah laxmi yojana.

To enroll in the Gruha Lakshmi Yojana, the applicants need the following documents:

BPL/APL/ Antyodaya Card.
Aadhar Card linked to a bank account.
Bank details of the beneficiary.
Aadhar-linked phone number.

For offline registration, the beneficiaries must visit designated centers with all the necessary documents. The registration process does not entail any fees.
