Kerala Zero Unemployment Scheme 2024

Kerala government has launched the Zero Unemployment Scheme 2024 for the welfare of unemployed youth. Under this 0 unemployment scheme, the state government will provide a 5-year subsidy for new industries based on the creation of new employment opportunities.
Industries registered in Kerala from April 1, 2020, to March 31, 2025, will be eligible for the wage incentive scheme. In addition, the industry launched on 31 March 2022 will get five years to implement the project and the subsidy scheme will expire in five years. The main objective is to realize the vision of zero employment in Kerala in the next 10 years. Kerala Zero Unemployment Scheme 2024 will ensure social security for 37 lakh families. The Kerala government is planning to reduce the ban on private land to facilitate large industrial investment. The Land Reform Act initiated by the state in 1963 limited the maximum land to 15 acres by a private individual. But it was a hindrance in bringing large industries to the state. Therefore, the Kerala government will relax restrictions for industries that invest more than Rs 250 crore and provide employment to more than 1,000 people.

Removal of Building Curbs to Facilitate Investment in Kerala
Various industrial parks will be set up in the private sector and common facilities will be provided. To address the grievances of investors regarding the non-cooperation of local bodies, the Government of Kerala has targeted to create 5 employment opportunities per 1,000 population per year per local population. The ban on the construction of buildings of more than 18,000 square meters along the side of panchayat roads will be lifted.
The state government will take steps to provide electricity connection to new commercial undertakings within 30 days from the date of application. In addition, if rainwater harvesting units are set up, all industrial units will be allowed to source water from the nearest water body. Additionally, environmental clearance will be granted for buildings with a built-up area of more than 20,000 square meters through a single-window system.
The deposit amount will be refunded in installments by the Kerala State Government for upgrading the electricity connection. The loan amount given by KSIDC to industries will be increased from the current Rs 35 crore to Rs 100 crore.
